Should I start blogging again?

Hm... I'm thinking about it-- it's almost been a year now. My photo bucket account with my profile pic is apparently even inactive, LOL. Not sure I have time in this crazy, wonderful life, but, I might think about it.

Hello out there?

I have not fallen off the face of the earth, but have been really busy and blogging just hasn't been fast enough for me... facebook has though, so I've been posting there. I do miss this from time to time-- just being able to post something longer, and "writing" in general, but I don't know if I'll get around to it or not.

The kiddos are both home sick today. Thomas was sick Monday; Tyler came home yesterday with a temp, and today they are both sick. They seem to be better at the moment...

Pinewood derby is Saturday, and we've finally gotten Thomas' about finished. I'll try to post pics.

Don't know if anyone is reading this or not, but if so, a big hello. :)

OK...

I am trying to figure out how to get back to this... I have easily given in to Facebook as my primary mode of posting since going back to work FT. I do miss my pics here, and having the space to say more than a sentence, but it has been so nice to catch up with people on FB... all the way back to ele. school... amazing. Anyway, after Monday this week, I have the whole week off, so maybe I'll try to do a thing or two. Until then, if you haven't joined me on FB, please do... I'm easier to stay up with there.

Merry Christmas,
L

what's going on

I'm home today-- day off work, and doing some online searching for jobs for Andrew-- he's getting really good at sending out his resume-- well, I am, too (his resume, I mean).

Anyway... still not in the "light" mood I was talking about in my last post, but thought I'd pop in here anyway. I haven't re-capped anything in so long, I'm not sure where to start.

I'm sure I have lost of pics to add here-- of Halloween-- of Tyler playing basketball... His team won their first game, which was amazing! :) I have pics of Thomas dressed up as his book character this year. He was Backward Bill (from Shel Silverstein's A Light in the Attic)-- wore a boot on his head, a hat on his foot and we built him a horse, too.

The boys both got all A's on their report cards-- so proud of them!

Let's see... lots of reading still going on around here... and I've really gotten into Anne of Green Gables (movies)... I must be getting old, ha! Still loving my job-- it is so nice to be in a place that feels like a "fit"... there are some "hopeful" things there, too.

I won't post all the "heavy" stuff, but that is the light stuff.

And, I must post a song, too. Andrew and I have been chatting about some songs we want to do when our contemporary service begins (we are planning to lead worship), and this is one of my picks...

Beautiful... isn't it?

Everything rides on hope now.

I just haven't been into it... sorry.

I've been gone so long from here, there should be cob webs. I just have not been able to get into blogging much lately... just dealing with things.

I read this book a couple of weeks ago, and one of the characters got to a point where she tried to decide how much something "weighed" before she would share it with someone. Sometimes things were just too heavy and so she kept them to herself because she thought the weight of them would turn people off-- or that it was just to heavy of a thing to put out there. I guess that is where I have been.

As soon as things feel lighter, I'll be back. And, at some point, I am going to change the layout here as I planned. Just not into it right now.

To leave things a little lighter for now...

Some random things that make me smile..

Once again

We are in the midst of making some decisions around here... and wondering how things are going to turn out. I have total faith in God to provide for our needs and want to fully trust that it is all for our good. It's rough right now with Andrew-- trying to build a business is a long process, and it's hard to make sure that you are financially covered during the process when you don't have any other means of income.

I do, but I am part-time right now, so I really honestly need more hours. And, I LOVE my job-- I would love it if it were full-time, too! :) I feel like I have found myself there, if that makes sense. I would love to go full-time there and I am already looking into grad programs for my Library Science license / master's... only time will tell. In the meantime, I am praying and really want it all to work out. I have truly felt God's grace through finding this job at the library-- something I have wanted to do for so long, and I feel like being there is a gift. There are so many ways to plug in my experiences in this job, and it just feels really good to do that.

Anyway, I have the day off tomorrow, so I am sure I will be cleaning-- this house NEEDS it. Thomas has piano camp this week for a few days, so we'll be driving him there and back, too. It's kind-of across thee county from here, so it takes a little chunk out of the day. I really want to do something for the kids' fall break, and we had talked about a movie, just gotta figure out how to make it fit with piano...

Off to figure out supper.

Peace to all,
L

Just a few notes

I know, I know... MIA... life, you know. Honestly, I got REALLY sucked into the Twilight Series of books and didn't come up for air for almost 2 weeks, finishing all 4 books in less than that time. I have read two more (short) books since Friday and it's just not the same, LOL. I miss my Bella and Edward. :( Laugh if you must, but wow, that was an amazing series of books!

Andrew's birthday was yesterday and we have just really been enjoying each other lately. I am truly so blessed to be married to my best friend. I think we get better together with age... which is a good thing, since he is now officially an old fart (I can say that for the next 3 months anyway). :)

The kids are on Fall break this week, so a little more sleep is ahead and I hope to finally get back up to speed here this week. I have a couple of days off during the week, too, since I will be working the weekend.

There are still some changes and unknown variables in our lives right now, and I've sort of not felt like writing about them, and as I mentioned, I have had my nose buried in some books. We're trying to figure out our next steps, not really seeing what will unfold yet, but trusting in the grace God always has for us.

I am also working on (writing) a book-- which might not even be finished for 20 years at this rate, but that is okay, I will get there. :)

Anyway, just ramblings for now, but will be back (with a new look here, I hope) later this week. Until then... have you heard this guy (Phil Wickham)? Just awesome... I **need** his CD.

WOW!!!!
