Um, yeah...

Some encouraging revelations upon printing out some of my photos from my new camera... I just might be able to *really* do this-- I am so stinking excited! I really am! Been chatting with Andrew about possibly doing some "specific" photo work this summer (all I will say about that for now--shhh), but I am really thinking I might be able to give it a go afterall... I'm working on some "classes" at the moment, too, so it's all very exciting! I'm still in the "wait and see" stages, so I haven't and won't say much just yet, but there is hope... cryptic enough for ya? Sorry...

Anyway, on other sides of my universe, Tyler's cough is no good (his asthma just might be allergy-related afterall I am thinking)... and I know no one wants to come by here and read me boo-hoo about how much I hurt, so I've not said much about it, but I spend much of the day in pain these days... that will be my biggest hurtle with the photog. I am afraid. I do have an appt. in April with a new dr., just trying to make it until then... just want someone to tell me what to do and I will do it. For now, on stuff for pain from my GP when I can take it, otherwise, just dealing with at as best I can ya know...

All I want to do is take pictures, LOL... I love being excited about something again! :)

I *LOVE* my new camera! I mean *LOVE*. I feel enabled at last. :) Watch out-- I may just become dangerous now, LOL. I bought a Canon D-SLR (Rebel, 350D) because I wanted to be able to use the EOS lens I had for my film SLR-- to interchange with the one that came with the new camera, and boy, that was a good decision! I am in love with the thing! I know I have many other things I need to get up, but I've been playing with these and just had to put these up first... love, love, love my new investment! Not to even mention this was a *super* fun day. :)

I really do have lots to say...

just been busy, and am spending the day with Ty... we have the day off for Good Friday today. :)

Thomas "kicked butt" (in the words of Ty) and won district pinewood original design, too... have pics-- will add later. We now get to take the car to Council! WOW!!

Also... drum roll... got the taxes back and my brand new D-SLR... yee haw! Now, if I can only find the time...

Anyway... off to the day with Ty. Will be back with pics when I get a chance. :)

a post...

Haven't been on much... not feeling great... Thomas either. I called my immunologist and they can't see me for SEVEN WEEKS-- yes-- almost two months-- and I am NOT a new patient-- what is that about? And, when I requested a visit sooner because A) I am not a NEW patient and B) because I have already been hurting for a MONTH now and C) I have this immune deficiency, they were actually RUDE to me! This dr. = great-- his staff= NOT!

SO-- I made the decision that I cannot stand this nagging hurting anymore and I made an appointment to see the Integrative Medicine dr. that I had originally had an appt. with before I ever went to see the Immunologist last summer. It's not until April either unfortunately, but at least that is because I AM a new patient there... just help me get through 'till April! I have GOT to get to the bottom of this; a person should not have to live with pain every single day with the only relief being pain pills. My GP is treating the symptom, not the cause-- not his fault-- that's what he knows, but SOMEBODY has GOT to helpp me with this-- it's ridiculous how much of my life I have wasted on hurting-- no more!

Rant over... just can't do it anymore, ya know...

On a positive note, I got an excellent eval at work today. Even though I'm not sure what the future holds, a vote of confidence is always a nice thing. :)

Off to potatoes and soup... have LOTS of monster truck pics, will get them up soon (especially if we end up with the 4-6 inches of snow they say is possible-- oiy).

HE WON!!!!!!!

I just love this boy! Look at that proud smile!

Thomas won "Most Original" design at the pinewood derby today! His car rocked! He was so excited (as I knew he would be-- this means the world to him), that he jumped up from his seat, and threw his arm in the air with a resounding, "YES!" at the top of his lungs. I had my camera at the ready to capture the look on his face (I had a feeling that he had won), but I only got a picture of his arm, he sprang up so fast, LOL... all the way around the track to get his trophy, he kept saying, "I KNEW IT!"... he has never been this excited EVER-- what a day! I'm throwing a few more pictures from the race up here-- the first one is of him jumping up-- obviously, not a good picture, just funny... you can see more of the woman's hair in the chair in front of him than you can see of him, but it just makes me laugh since I was there to see his reaction. :)
